From exploring derelict space stations and strange new planets to epic battles in deep space our EVERSPACE series is full of excitement and wonder. 3D Artist (f/m/d)
Are you looking to join an exciting and passionate team of game developers in creating immersive space games? We are seeking a talented 3D artist to join our ranks and help bring our vision to life.
As a 3D artist at our independent game studio, you will be responsible for creating a variety of environment assets, spaceships, and both hard surface and organic materials. Proficiency in Unreal Engine 4, Autodesk 3ds MAX, or Blender is a must for this role.

Responsibilities

- Collaborating with the development team to ensure assets fit the overall vision and style of the game
- Modifying and adjusting assets as needed to meet technical and creative requirements
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and techniques to continuously improve skills and work
- Meeting project deadlines and maintaining strong communication with the team
- Contribute to the development of new ideas and concepts for game assets and environments
- Adhering to established pipelines and workflows within the team
- Assisting with any additional tasks as needed to support the development of the game.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Develop high-quality organic and hard-surface models and texture maps based on project briefs and reference material
- Present your work in a professional manner, utilizing turntable-style setups with appropriate lighting for progress reviews
- Collaborate closely with Design and Art Directors to address mesh issues and ensure the visual excellence of assets
- Optimize asset topology for seamless frame rates, contributing to an optimal gaming experience
- Map out scenery elements and props that enhance the narrative and contribute to the overall story of the game
Requirements
- A keen eye for (planetary) landscapes, cityscapes, and geography, with the ability to translate these elements into exceptional virtual environments
- Technically proficient to understand game engine capabilities and limitations
- Solid experience (multiple years) in 3D modeling, sculpture, and design
- Familiarity with the VFX or game development pipeline is advantageous
- Knowledgeable in geography, architecture, and the laws of physics
- Experience processing and working with scans (Megascans, LiDAR scans, etc.)
- High-level drawing skills and the ability to interpret and bring reference material to life
- Real-world understanding of proportion, depth, scale, and physical space
