Kicking off ROCKFISH Games in April 2014, Michael, the CEO, and their team worked on an online-coop space shooter with a AAA console publisher for the back-then brand-new 8th gen console generation in a garage as a preliminary studio.
Meanwhile, Christian, handy CFO and COO, tore down a 750 sqm, heavily run-down office facility and built a fine, semi-open space loft studio for up to 50 employees including a sound-proof audio studio for our sound director. To reduce cost, 50% of the space has been sub-rent but can be made available on short notice in case a few more great and talented Felsenfische join our family.
Due to COVID, the team transitioned to primarily working from home in 2020, with lead developers using the office for weekly creative sessions with our local team members, while we also work with external devs in the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia.
To make sure, we stay in touch and keep the spirit high, we also have all-company events for social connectivity, like our summer BBQ where we also invite friends and partners.
