Our Studio
When ROCKFISH Games officially launched in April 2014, CEO Michael and a small team began prototyping an online co-op space shooter in collaboration with a AAA console publisher — working out of a garage studio, just as the 8th console generation was taking off.
Meanwhile, Christian, our hands-on CFO and COO, completely overhauled a 750 sqm derelict office facility, transforming it into a stylish, semi-open loft studio for up to 50 team members. The space also includes a custom-built, soundproof audio studio for our sound director. Currently, around 50% of the office is sublet, but it can be reclaimed quickly as we welcome more talented Felsenfische to our growing family.
In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, our team shifted to remote work in 2020. Today, we operate in a hybrid model: core team members and leads meet regularly in our Hamburg office for creative collaboration, while we work seamlessly with external developers and contributors across the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia.
To stay connected and nurture team spirit, we organize regular company-wide social events — including our legendary summer BBQ, where we also invite friends and long-time partners to celebrate our journey together.
